You will save lot of money. If you are a serious candle burner you will save a lot of money by making your candles. I have candles in every room in my house, and I am glad to have this company, because I don't have to buy candles. However, I still do buy candles a lot, because I like to see what's new out there.

Q: What are some other benefits to making your own aromatherapy candles?

A: You get to choose what you want. You don't have to run out to the store to buy spearmint for a candle. If you are a candle maker, you probably have the ingredient in your storage. Whenever you choose, you can make a candle with the ingredient you like.

Making candles is a great hobby, as well. It's a good stress reliever. It's a nice healthy thing to do versus going out to a bar drinking or something like that. A lot of people start businesses from their hobbies.

Q: What are the disadvantages to making aromatherapy candles?

A: Candle making is not a very neat hobby. It can get a little messy. The soy waxes are nice and easy to clean up, but the paraffin waxes can get everywhere. So it's not exactly a neat hobby. You have to work with hot items too. If you are used to cooking, then, it's really not a big deal, but if you are not familiar with the kitchen and heating things up, then it's probably not for you.

Q: Should I use gloves when making candles?

A: No. We melt our wax in pouring pots, and then pour it right into the jars. As long as we don't pick up the jars when the hot waxes are in three, we are fine. So burns are not really a big deal when making candles, if done right. Everyone will eventually burn themselves, but that normally happens to the novice candle maker. It is just like a cook that has just started up. A cook will burn themselves, but with practice that doesn't happen anymore.
