Do You Have Advice On Buying Jewelry From Television?

Do you have advice on buying jewelry from television? Home shopping channels offer jewelry at prices that seem too good to be true. Buyers should be aware of the return policy on any jewelry bought on television.

I have not seen good things with them. That's only because that we have had five or six people come into our store that have bought jewelry from home shopping channels or the Internet. When they bring them into our store, on the tag it will say the karat weight and how many diamonds it has and such. But when they bring them into our stores, they are not even real gold! I am not saying that all of them are like that, but be careful and make sure that they have return policies before you buy anything. When you get them, you can have them checked out and get them appraised.

If they don't have a return policy, it is a bad idea. They should have a return policy where you can buy it, get it appraised, and get it checked out by any jewelry store to tell you whether it is a diamond or not. With the gold, they would have to send it off, but with diamonds we can tell you there on the spot; it's a lot easier to tell.
