I know, we've all had brats on the grill, but have we all had them parboiled in a pot of water with 2 tsp of garlic powder, 2 tsp of liquid smoke and 3 tsp of Worcestershire sauce then transferred to the grill and cooked over hot coals with apple chips for smoking flavor?
To start parboil 6 to 8 brats for 20 to 25 minutes. Using the 2 tsp of garlic powder, 2 tsp of liquid smoke and 3 tsp of Worcestershire sauce in the water.
While parboiling get your grill going and soak some apple wood in some water (about 20 minutes) and when coals are hot throw the apple wood on the coals and close grill.
After brats have been on for 20 to 25 minutes drain them and put them on the grill. Cover grill to keep smoke flavor in and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or to your desired doneness.
Can serve with chips, kraut and beans, or just by themselves.
Very delicious tasting brats.
