4-6 apples, peeled and cored
1 c sugar
1 c water
1 pkg cinnamon candies
1 stick cinnamon
red food coloring 1-2 drops
Mix water, sugar and cinnamon in shallow pan or skillet. Cook until dissolved. Add apples and cook until done, turning occasionally. Spoon syrup over apples. When done, stuff center with cream cheese mixed with nuts and a little of the syrup.
