There are two main types of cookies, which are drop cookies and rolled cookies. Cookie dough when prepared should be handled as little as possible: by excessive handling it makes a tougher, drier cookie.
This is a small collection of easy to prepare cookies.
WALNUT RAISIN COOKIES
You will need:
1/2- Cup chopped walnuts
1 1/2- Cups sugar
1/2- Cup oil
2- Eggs
1/2- Cup evaporated milk
1- Cup Raisins
2- Cups flour
1- Teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Mix sugar, oil and walnuts, then add eggs, raisins, and milk. Mix well. Add flour and vanilla to mixture. Mix well. Then drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-oiled baking sheet. Bake at 400F. For 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
BASIC SUGAR COOKIES
You will need:
2- Cups sugar
1/2- Cup milk
4- Cups flour
3/4- Cup butter
2- Eggs
1- Teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:
Begin by creaming butter and sugar together, then add eggs and mix well. Then add flour and milk; mix until well blended on low to medium speed for 2 to 4 minutes. Then drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-greased cookie sheet. Bake in oven at 400F for 10 - 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes about 6 dozen.
