A wedding is a very special time in life not only for the bride and groom, but also for their friends and families. These are often the people who work to make the wedding a great success. For the bride, the bridesmaids and maid/matron of honor can be some of her most special friends and family members. To show them how much she appreciates them and all they have done to make the day memorable, it is nice for the bride to give her wedding participants special mementos of the occasion. The following are a few ideas that are sure to be appreciated and treasured for years to come.

*A nice frame with a picture - While a nice decorative frame is often an appreciated gift, what makes this gift so special is the picture inside. Select a picture of the bride and the bridesmaid from some time in the their life, whether it a recent picture or one from childhood. Any picture that brings back fond memories would be appropriate.

*Engraved trinket box - People always enjoy receiving a gift that has been personalized with their name. Many shops that specialize in engraving gifts carry silver-plated or crystal trinket boxes with an area made for an engraved message. Have the bridesmaid's name engraved on the box along with the date of the wedding. This will be a special memento that will remind the recipient of the wedding day every time she sees it.

*Earrings - If you would like your wedding attendants to be uniform in attire even past the dresses, consider giving each attendant a matching pair of earrings to wear for the wedding. This will look nice for all the wedding pictures and will provide the recipient with a lovely gift. Something simple such as small gold or pearl earrings add an element of class to the attire and can be worn by the recipient for many other occasions.

*Individual decorative gift item - There is no rule that says you have to give each attendant exactly the same gift. As long as you stay within comparable limits of one another, each gift can be distinct to the preferences of each recipient. For instance, you may decide to give each attendant a small vase, however, you consider each person's tastes and color preferences to choose accordingly. This shows that you put individual thought into each gift and that each recipient is special to you.

*Journal - There are a variety of elegant journal books available at a number of shops. A special blank journal picked out for each attendant would be a unique gift. To make it even more memorable, write a note of appreciation for participating in the wedding on the first page of each journal along with the date of the wedding. Consider including a nice bookmark also.

These are a few ideas to help alleviate one of the tasks of making so many decisions that go into any wedding. Any of these gifts would be appropriate for any type of wedding and for any attendants. Or perhaps these ideas will spark some creative ideas of your own. The inclusion of your own special touch will show how much you appreciate all that the attendants in your wedding have done to make your day memorable.
