1 peck green tomatoes
6 large sweet green peppers
6 large red sweet peppers
1 large head cabbage
12 medium onion
2 hot peppers
3 lb apples
4 lb sugar (more if desired)
Pickling spice to taste
Vinegar
1/3 c salt
Grind tomatoes, red and green sweet peppers; mix together. Add salt. Put into sack and hang securely on clothesline to drain. Drain until juice is almost clear. Grind cabbage, onion, apples and hot peppers; mix together all ingredients adding sugar, pockling spice, and enough vinegar to cover. Bring to a boil and boil 20 minutes. Seal in dry jars.
