The newsletter contains information about recent news and upcoming events. They also hold workshops or classes to help teach skills to those who are looking for something more.
One of the more important activities that the family support group holds is family day. Family day is a day of activities that invites military service members and their families to meet other military families and interact with military personnel and officers. It is a chance to meet everyone in your unit and get to known the important chain of command.
A family support group is an important part of being a military family. If there is not a family support group for your unit, you can start one on your own and then recruit volunteers. You would need to go through your chain of command and gain permission to start a family support group. Then they will guide you towards the next steps.
