After eating, browse again. You will notice that everything in the North Carolina Museum doesn't simply sit there. Somebody needs to move some dust, so an outdoor amphitheatre has been established for those folks who are simply itching to dance instead of walk.
In fact, annually a Louisiana Dance Party evolves. That is simply one of the many events held at this matchless theatre and museum. You can pick up a calendar when you get there.
The Museum of Life and Science offers many topics to explore, and you can select your favorite choices, or step into each one of them, while noticing that they become a part of your very being. Raleigh’s "BioQuest" is the award-winning $18.5 million extension. This museum has as much outside as inside. Farm animals are included on the pet farm. Loblolly Park is a great place to stroll, so you ladies of elegance, please don't wear your high heels through this area. Believe me, you will not want those feet gettin' tired.
Stroll into the aerospace area. Visit the Carolina wildlife section. You will become enthralled with our good earth's great animal kingdom, and don’t forget to check out the “Insectarium,” where you will enjoy anything from butterflies to creepy crawlies. Plan to save many hours of time. This sits on a 70-acre campus.
Do not fret, because a coffee shop is available. In fact, you will enjoy many choices in food and drink.
Don’t stop now. You must add another day to your museum time, and visit The North Carolina Museum of History. This is where you will hang out with Orville and Wilbur Wright’s airplane. Your spirit will fly high with these famous brothers, and it will soar with Michael "Air" Jordan while observing his story.
In fact, many stories await your visit. They do not simply begin and end with these two marvelous details, though they are truly magnificent.
Eploiris is the Museum for Children, but it becomes far more than simply a children’s place. It has a wonderful "People and Places" exhibit, in addition to exhibits on communication, to include its many voices and cultural manners.
One Voice: From the Pen of Anne Frank, opened in June, 2000. You will not want to miss this spectacular exhibition.
Last but not least, the Natural Science Museum is the “biggest-in-the-Southeast.” Come and see North Carolina's very own dinosaur.
Shopping can be enjoyed in the museum's unique gift shops. A variety of crafts, history books and souvenirs are awaiting you in each museum's shop and restaurant.
