Yes, you can really program your mind! You can find creative solutions and problem solving strategies in your subconscious. You can dream your way to a better life. Try to think of your brain as a computer. It full of wires and electronic circuit boards that are influenced by every sound, thought, and image. By telling your brain what to accomplish, you can have a magnificent piece of machinery that will do almost anything that you want or need.

Our brains are the most wonderfully complex parts of our body, but also the most useful tool. You can program your mind to solve problems just like you can program a computer to solve equations. Many noted Psychologists and Psychiatrists use this programming strategy themselves. I learned this from my professor in college, Dr. John Herring. He has wrote several articles on the subject. Try this wonderful technique that really works!

How can I program my mind to solve problems?

First of all, think of a few topics that you have been thinking of resolving. This is usually something that has been bothering you at either work or home. Tell yourself that you will dream of these topics, and round out the creative solutions to the problems. Tell yourself that you will resolve whatever problems you may be having with these issues. Do this right before bedtime. When you get into bed at night, think of the topics again. This time visualize the problem. Make sure that you have a pen and paper nearby for when you awake during the night or for in the morning. This is to write down any ideas that might be lost otherwise.

Now drift off to sleep and wait for your subconscious to solve your problems for you. When you wake up, you may not feel quite as refreshed as usual. You may feel as though you were "working" all night. This is because you were really. Scan your thoughts, and write anything that comes to you down. If you had a dream, include this information.

I don't dream. How will this work for me?

If nothing that you deem significant comes to you that is fine. Later on in the day, the problems will most likely become resolved almost mysteriously. This works for people that remember their dreams just as well as those that do not recall them. Whether it is procrastination, organizing your pantry, dealing with a spouse, or a financial matter, the solution just may work out all on it's own. At least, this is how it seems. Really it is because of this incredible psychological tool that helps your subconscious assimilate the information and digest it.

This really works! It is a little known psychological tool that helps creative thinkers to process information much more quickly. This technique works for almost any problem. Whether it is a common problem like getting your desk organized or catching up on your spring cleaning, or a big problem like lowering your out-of-pocket expenses, your subconscious can find a solution for you. Just dream your way out of your next problem!

How can I speed up this "programming" process?

These tips will help your subconscious to work much faster to process and digest ideas, come up with creative solutions, and make you think up ideas much faster.

1. When you wake up in the morning, write down your dreams or whatever may come to you. Now this may not be the best time of day for all people, but many of us draw from our subconscious or dreams. This means that in the morning the ideas are fresh in our minds.

2. When you are watching television, folding laundry, or helping your child with homework, keep pencil and paper nearby too. Many times we get ideas for solutions while doing menial tasks and mundane chores. Our mind is relaxing, so thoughts stream by more easily.

So many people complain about problems with procrastination, stress, and feeling overwhelmed. In today's hectic world, it is hard not to feel overwhelmed at times. It is very difficult to deal with all of the demands on our time. This psychological tool has helped people hold down two full-time jobs, create award-winning prose and poetry, and think up some of today's most creative solutions. Programming your mind will keep those great ideas coming. Ideas that can solve your problems and maybe even the world's!

*Note:

This programming theory is just that- a theory. Some people find that their rest is disturbed. Others say that they have increased energy after doing this. You should use caution when using this or any psychological idea. Check with your doctor before trying any new thing. Also, anyone with psychological problems should first consult a doctor before using this technique.
