Ginseng, don quai, fo-ti, licorice, red clover, black cohosh and star root, all contain phytoestrogens – hormone like compounds that are chemically similar to estrogen.

Foods that help raise estrogen levels include: alfalfa, anise, apples, barley, carrots, cherries, clover, coffe, fennel, garlic, green beans, hops, licorice, oats, parsley, peas, pomegranates, potatoes, red beans, rice, rye, sage sesame seeds, soybeans and sprouts, wheat and yeast.
