What causes thirst? Our healthy body demands the fluid replacement and lets us know relentlessly until we succumb to the desire to drink and satisfy our craving.

Water tastes so very good when you are thirsty! Clear and cold, there is nothing more delicious and satisfying. You do not have to guess when you are thirsty, or time thirst like you would taking medication. Our healthy body demands the fluid replacement and lets us know relentlessly until we succumb to the desire to drink and satisfy our craving. Extreme thirst is waiting too late; we are probably by then very low on this essential nutrient. We are up to 75% water; our body needs water to function, to regulate our body temperature, and is the element for transporting oxygen and nutrients it also safeguards our organs and more.

Sodas and tea is not a good replacement for water. The caffeine in these drinks is a diuretic and will increase urination causing a loss in body fluids.

Colds and flu can lead to dehydration, try very hard during your time of illness to sip water as often as possible. Your body needs its fluids to continue the healing process.

If you workout you will lose a great deal of body fluid through perspiration replace it!

What is our feeling of thirst is trying to let us know, bottom line? It is saying that if you have waited until thirst pleads for water, you have by then waited too long to refuel your body. With our busy lives, we forget too often the things that are important to good health. We work to gain monitory possessions but what good will they do if our health is lost to us? Get in the good habit of drinking lots of satisfying and healthy water!
