If you have any of the symptoms described below, check with your doctor.
Internal Depression is a quiet disorder that lurks deep in individuals. It is a disorder that can originate from any negative event in a person’s life or shared event of another person’s situation. Symptoms of Internal Depression can range from quietness around others, lack of appetite or the act of not eating in front of others, violent tendencies, loneliness even with others around, and cruel acts to ones own being or others around.
Recognizing these symptoms in yourself is hard because you are either doing them to further help yourself get over the obstacle that was placed in front of you or you are looking for others to see the hurt you carry inside but cannot tell them this.
If you tend to become quiet after a good conversation that was created and that you fully participated in a minute ago, stop. This is a way of trying to get attention so that folks can focus on you and why all of a sudden you are not active in the discussion. You will either become more agitated because either you are ignored or no one is guessing your personal problem.
If you suddenly lose your appetite while hanging out with friend or dining with family, please eat. This is another cry for attention. Your body needs the nutrients to help fight the depression. You may end up in the hospital for dehydration. This is a situation you do not want to incur.
If you are displaying violent tendencies or noticing this off and on, it is time to talk to someone you trust or with a professional background. You do not want to hurt anyone or anything around you. Especially the ones you love.
If you feel lonely or by yourself, you are not. You are feeling this because you do not want others to be affected but you still want recognition that you are “a part of the team”. You may also tend to be quiet too around others. Remember, you are not alone. There are people out there and in your family who love you and want the best from you: a smile.
If you have thought of attempting suicide, hurting another person, or just “starting confusion in another’s life”, please do not. Those attempts can and will affect you permanently. There are no re-do for attempts of this nature. It will only start the Internal Depression disorder again to people you love and admire.
So if you are suffering from Internal Depression and you recognize some of these symptoms, it is ok. The fact that you come to terms with what you found is the FIRST STEP. If you are not the type to talk about your pain or situations, then it is best that a journal is kept and for each day you write, you attempt to do something positive the next day so that when you look back on the past days, you see progress. If you are open and verbal, express yourself to the very person or persons who will help lift dark haze (depression ) in your life. All and all, you will get through the situation. Time heals everything. And remember, smiling also lifts pressure from your heart as well.
