Try this tempting raisin cake recipe to spice up your meals!
3 c unsifted flour
2 c sugar
2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
3 c apples, peeled and chopped
1 c mayonnaise
1/3 c milk
1 c raisins
1/2 c walnuts
Combine sugar and mayonnaise. Mix well. Add eggs and mix. Add milk and dry ingredients; mix. Add apples, nuts and raisins. Mix thoroughly and pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Frost when cool.
FROSTING:
1 box powdered sugar
1 8-oz pkg cream cheese
3/4 stick margarine
Mix well and spread on cake when cool.
