Annick Goutal came to the perfume making profession late in life after years of modeling and a prizewinning career as a pianist.She went into the skin cream business with a friend and realized it was missing two important things, fragrance and beautiful packaging.In 1977 she met Henri Sorsana, a perfumer and spent the next seven years learning the trade.She equates making perfume to making music in that she creates a symphony with scent.Each of her fragrances came to her as a feeling of a time or place.Each one has a story behind it, which is why when most people smell them, they feel that they are reminded of something themselves.

Her perfume called, Eau de Camille, was inspired by her daughter who at seven years of age, was on their terrace in France, touching some ivy and asked her mother for a scent like that.Eau de Camille is a light blend of honeysuckle, syringa, privet and ivy and is described as a tender, natural, fresh-green scent.

For her husband, Alain Meunier, she created a cologne called Sables which is described as warm and spicy, like an unforgettable walk through wild flowers.It contains undertones of vanilla and sandalwood.
