Read the eligibility requirements to determine if you are qualified for the grants in which you are interested. Grants for individuals are usually given for purposes like educational financial aid, artistic endeavors and scientific research.

Craft a well-written proposal outlining your objectives and a budget for your project. Take the time to consider all the steps your project will take and the funding it will require. If you receive the grant, you may have to provide periodic written reports of your progress and financial state, and evaluations of the program.
