How to Apply Mineral Makeup Over Blemishes
-
Step 1
Cleanse your face with a mild cleanser to remove all the dirt and oil from your face. Do not apply mineral makeup to a dirty face. -
Step 2
Apply a good moisturizer to your face and let it soak in. The moisturizer allows the mineral makeup to blend properly into the skin without looking flaky. -
Step 3
Place a makeup brush over the sifter holes on your mineral makeup container. The makeup will stick to the brush. Tap off any excess powder. Lightly dust your nose, chin and forehead with the brush. Use gentle, circular motions. -
Step 4
Pick up more mineral makeup powder on your brush and gently apply the powder to red and discolored areas. Mineral makeup doesn't have to go on thick to cover facial blemishes. -
Step 5
Buff your face with the brush after the makeup is applied to bring out the qualities of the minerals. Buffing also ensures that your face has an evenly distributed amount of makeup, and ensures proper coverage of all blemishes.
