Step 1
Go to the official Website for government grants that is listed in our Resources section. Register using a valid email address. This is a free Website where you can search, apply and track available USA government grants for free. The registration process takes anywhere from 3 business days to 2 weeks before you are eligible to apply for a grant on the Website. You can search for grants applicable to you in the meantime.
-
Step 2
Log in to the grant Website. Click the "Find Grant Opportunities" link on the right. Select the type of search you prefer from the available categories including "Basic," "Browse by Category," "Browse by Agency," and "Advanced Search." You can also opt to subscribe to email notices whenever new grants become available. These services are free.
-
Step 3
Search for an available grant that is applicable to you. To perform a basic search, enter a keyword related to grants that you may qualify for. This will bring a page of grant listings that include the opportunity title, the agency administering the grant, the funding number of the grant, and any relevant attachments. Click any of the entries, and you will see detailed descriptions including who is eligible to receive the grant. If you are an individual applying for a grant, you will need to search using the "Advanced Search" method.
-
Step 4
Apply for the grant or grants by downloading an application package and completing it offline. There are step-by-step instructions on the Website for both downloading and completing the application.
-
Step 5
Submit the grant application online by clicking the "Save and Submit" button on the cover page of the application package. You will receive an email advising you that your application was successfully submitted.
-
Step 6
Track your grant application by logging into the Website and clicking the "Application Status" link on the left. You will need the tracking number you received in the email sent to you when you submitted your application package.
