Biking is unique because different types of riding targets different parts of the body. Mountain bike riding for instance would give you more of a complete body workout for the upper and lower body. If you are road biking, you would use just your legs, lung, and heart or your aerobic system. So, depending on what type of activity you want to take up, you can get a little bit different work out. When I go out and ride my mountain bike around town on a pretty intense trail, I will find that maybe my back and my abdomen and my arms are a little sore the next day because I have to lift the front wheel off the objects and maneuver the bike a lot. Depending on which one I do, it is a different workout.
