There are a lot of very fine candles available in the stores, even ones in grocery stores, that are imported from China. Imported candles are not going to be as good as one made in the USA. Candles made by a smaller candle maker, will have a more intense fragrance. That's because they are not mass produced and they are stored away for a long time.
Q: What about aromatherapy candles that you find at Wal-Mart that are five bucks? Are those worth buying?
A: Yes. A lot of those are probably pretty good, but you know they are imported in mass quantities. The wax used for them isn't as good quality as what you get in the United States. They definitely have different grades of wax in China than they would here. It gives the same effect, and it will still smell nice, but it won't be as good. For me, since I make my own candles, I am use to making or buying the best quality products on the market.
