Should an acting school be accredited?

Knowing the director of the school's credits should be enough incentive. If the director or teacher is not an actor with credits, find out if their students are accredited.

You probably want to know who the director of the school is, what is in his resume, what is their background. How many shows have they done? Have their actors gotten small parts or television series? What is their education? You want to find out what kind of background the director of the school has and find out the background of the teachers, what their credits are. Some of them have done very little acting and are just teaching. If I were working with a teacher who has not done any acting, at the very least I would want to know that his students are acting. Does he have fifteen students doing television or commercials?
