A demo reel is short scenes from projects you have done, maybe three or four different scenes from as many projects. You edit them together so that in five minutes someone can get a look at you and your acting on film. It is an amazing tool and, with today's technology, it's cheap to burn a CD and put it in the mail. Remember to ask for a copy of the tape. Often they say they will give it to you but you have to stay after them because once they have what they need from you, they aren't really concerned about you. You have to be persistent about getting the work you have done. Then take the work to an editing facility or piece together the information yourself.
