What is airbrush tanning?

Airbrush tanning has to be applied by an airbrush tanning operator.

With the airbrush program, you have to have a person doing it to you. The client would have to wear a bathing suit or get naked. The airbursh gun is like a fingernail airbrush. You just stand there as you would if they were airbrushing your nails. You put your arms out and let the person spray you with a self tanner. I have not personally done that. So I am not necessarily an expert in airbrush tanning. I can give you some information about it, but I personally have not tried it myself.

I know California Tan does spray tanning as well, I am sure it works very well, then you can contour the body much more than you could with Mystic tan or sunless tanning. The technician is able to use the gun to accentuate certain areas making you look like you have a nice color. If you add the airbrush a little bit more on the side of your body, it makes you look slimmer. It's what I heard. There is actually a little bit more of an art to that, I think.

It has a lot to do with equipment anyway. Even with Mystic Tanning, if the sprayers are not performing properly then the person is not going to get a good tan. If the nozzles are clogged or if the airbrush does not clean properly, those are problems. There are a lot of things that you have to maintain with these units. That's a one thing about sunless tanning, you really have to make the client understand how important is to take our advice otherwise they are going to be unhappy.
