Sanford-Brown Institute is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and offers several health care career training programs. These specialized programs provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to begin a career as a medical billing and coding specialist, medical assistant, advanced massage therapy practitioner and other specialized positions in the health care field. Applications for admission can be submitted online or over the phone.
Step 1
Find out if you're a good candidate for the Sanford-Brown Institute programs. Visit the Candidate's Survey page to enter your high school graduation month and year and personal information. This will send an inquiry form about your interest in Sanford-Brown to the admissions office, and they will confirm whether you are eligible for admission to the programs.
Step 2
Request more information about the institute. Submit an inquiry to the Contact Us page to receive a packet of information via mail or email about the school and certificate programs.
Step 3
Begin the online enrollment process. Select the "Apply Online" tab on the left sidebar of the Sanford-Brown Institute homepage to access the online enrollment module. The module will begin with a brief video tour and overview of the system. Click "Next" to proceed to the Registration page.
Step 4
Complete the Registration page. You will be asked to enter your full name, address, date of birth and other personal details at this stage of enrollment. You will also need to create a unique password; this will serve as your login information any time you return to the Sanford-Brown Institute website.
Step 5
Submit your registration form online. After all fields have been completed, click "Next" to submit your registration form. You will be contacted by an admissions representative to discuss your options for enrollment. You can ask any questions about the program at this time.
Step 6
Keep a record of your username. Sanford-Brown Institute will generate a username for you, which you will need to access the site in the future. Click "Next" after writing down your username and password created in Step 5 to begin the online enrollment tutorial.
Step 7
Watch the tutorial. The online tutorial consists of 13 segments that include topics such as Education Benefits, Motivation, School Tour, Education Services, Application and Wrap-Up. Click "Next" at the end of each segment to get to the Application section.
Step 8
Complete the application online. The Application segment is the second-to-last presentation on the tutorial; you will need to submit your Social Security number and other personal details to submit a formal application. You will also be charged a $25 application fee.
Step 9
Follow up with your enrollment status via email. Contact the admissions office directly with a brief followup email by selecting the "Contact the School by Email" link at the bottom of the online enrollment module.
