What beginner exercise routines do you recommend?

Walking is an incredible workout for an expectant mom that does not have a history of physical activity.

Well for a beginner, if somebody really wasn't exercising prior to pregnancy, then I would recommend trying to find a walking group or suggest doing very basic exercise. Something very low intensity and mild with a social aspect or joining a prenatal exercise class that focuses on beginners. You can also take a class where the instructors show modifications for different levels of intensity. My concern would just be that if someone was a beginner and hasn't exercised previously, they don't want to jump in to some big exercise routine while they are pregnant. It's not the time to really be increasing your fitness level; it's really more of a time to maintain.
