What would you say is the best album cover that was never released?

Brian Wilson's "SMiLE" was never released with the original artwork.

Brian Wilson was making an album called "SMiLE." Brian Wilson was using a lot of drugs and wanted to push pop music further and further the album art was all pressed and everything. But he couldn't bring himself to mentally or physically finish the music, so it went unreleased even though there were boxes of LPs pressed, and the artwork was finished. And that has a cartoon version of what they assume would be a shop where they sell smiles. That was never released. Brian finally finished it and it came out last year and it had different artwork and that first LP cover was never released. You can see pictures of it here and there, but it was never officially released. So that's what I would say is the best piece of unused art.

Brian Wilson unfortunately was an undiagnosed schizophrenic and all the drugs that he used at the time really kind of unleashed the schizophrenia that lived in his brain. He just went off the deep end, unfortunately and now he is heavily medicated, but he functions. I don't know if he is really functioning, but he is medicated and the new "SMiLE" that did come out is pretty surprisingly good.
