Business cards make great magnets. Clients can keep your information handy on their filing cabinet or on the refrigerator at home. Ordering specially made business cards on magnetic paper can be expensive. You can make your own magnet cards with a few inexpensive items from the craft store, or even by recycling magnets from your junk mail.

Step 1
Find your magnets. You can purchase new magnets from the craft store. Look for magnet strips on double sided tape for the easiest application. You can also find magnets specially made for business cards, but these are much more expensive.
Or you can recycle magnets from your junk mail. Collect and save magnets from other magnetic cards and reuse them.
Step 2
Get business cards. If you don't already have a supply of business cards, have some made at your local office supply shop. Or you can get pre-perforated business card sheets to run through your home printer. Remember, these cards should only be one-sided, because the back will be covered by the magnet.
Step 3
Cut magnets to size. One 2-inch strip of magnetic tape is enough to hold the card firmly to a surface. Recycled magnets are generally made of weaker magnetic material will need to be cut to the size of the business card--a standard card is 2 inches by 3.5 inches. Stick in place with double-stick tape.
