On a consistent basis, I would say by your sixth or seventh try that you should be making pretty decent candles. The important thing is having the right raw materials. Everyone sells waxes, so it is important to really know what you are looking for. To achieve better candles, you really need particular waxes and wax blends that are much more suited for candle making.
