What should I look for in children's bedroom furniture?

Storage and function are two important concepts when looking at children's furniture.

The thing that I hear in the industry is storage and function. So much of what today's kids need is storage and function. When looking for furniture ask yourself, "Does it have places for them to store their toys, for them to work?" Second thing I hear people talking about is youth furniture. Can the children grow into the furniture? In other words, is it expandable? I think that's one of those things that I would be thinking about in buying children's furniture.
