How much does it cost to get your foundation repaired?

Foundation Repair costs can get expensive if the problem is something other than a leak.

If it is just a leaking problem of a poured wall, this is very specific because you could have water coming up through the cracks in the slab or you could have it coming from somewhere else. Water can be

coming in from the intersection of the wall with the slab in those cases you have a drainage problem and you can't do that yourself. You definitely have to call in a waterproofing contractor and he will put in an internal drain system. That's very expensive; that's going to cost thousands of dollars.

But if it's a poured wall foundation, and the problem with them most of the time is cracks on the wall, that's just around 100 dollars.

One of the things that we say on our website is if you have a poured wall foundation and the wall has leaked and somebody comes in and quotes you something other than cracks, you should get a second opinion, because the guy is trying to kill a mouse with an elephant club.

If the guy quotes you less than 500 dollars, I would recommend that you go with that guy because he is going to give you some kind of a warranty, hopefully, a lifetime warranty against that crack leaking again. You can do it yourself. You don't have to rely on anyone. For example, if you are not going to finish the basement and you are just using it for storage, you see some leak coming in there all you need to do is eliminate the leak. You don't really have that much to lose, if you don't do a good job. If you have finished the basement and you put paneling on the wall and carpeting, TV sets, then, you should be willing to make sure that the job is done right.
