Why would somebody buy costume jewelry instead of real jewelry?

Costume jewelry would be chosen over real jewelry for traveling purposes or just for fun.

The reason that they would choose costume jewelry over a real piece is for fun or for parties. Maybe they are not really sure what they want and they want to wear the piece for a while and then decide on a special piece. Maybe they will have a special occasion and they need this one certain special piece that they want coordinate with their outfit, but they do not want to spend $3,000 dollars on a necklace or a pair of earrings. For $300 dollars they can get the same look for that one night and it is still nice. Again, on vacations, trips, or tours, you wouldn't feel as secure wearing your diamonds. The cubic zirconium pieces are great and it is very hard to tell the difference, as long as you keep the size believable.
