Rubber bracelets are used to display a message of some kind. You don't just have to put a saying on your rubber bracelet; you can jazz it up with jewels or pictures. You have the option of buying the bracelets online, but it's much more fun and economical to make them yourself.

Step 1
Buy or make your bracelet. To make one, buy a silicone sheet and cut a small rectangle out of it that will fit over your knuckles. Join the ends together with a strong adhesive.
Step 2
Use your utility knife to carve letters on the front of your rubber bracelet. These letters should spell out your message. It can be your own personal message or a message from a group that you belong to.
Step 3
Draw your message on the rubber bracelet with a dark permanent marker. You may want to write over the message a second time to make sure it stays dark enough. Wait for the marker to dry before wearing it, or it will smear. If you don't want to draw a message, you can always draw a picture or something.
Step 4
Peel off the backing to some stick-on images or designs. Press the image or design on your rubber bracelet. These won't last longer than a few days, but that gives you the option of customizing your bracelet each day to coordinate it with your outfit. This can be a lot of fun and helps you get a lot of use out of one bracelet.
Step 5
Add jewels to your rubber bracelet. This can be done with glue or a stronger adhesive if you want it to last longer than a few days. You can find bags of jewels at craft stores.
