What are the best cutting boards?

Tips for the selection of a cutting board.

We recommend that you cut on the wood or plastic mats. Those are much better cutting surfaces than glass or marble or tile, particularly for our knives. But you always want to have an easy to clean and hygienic surface. Some people have very strong preferences; they are very adamant that they like the wood or they are very adamant if they like the plastic. Either one of those are fine, but glass or tile are not really recommended for cutting. Actually, it can damage the knife and that is true with any of the higher-end knives. You run into that and it's just not a good surface because it's a slippery surface. It doesn't really grip what you are cutting very well.
