Which DIY home security alarms provide professional service?

There are several do-it-yourself home security systems that provide professional service.

With a security system, there are a few different components that make up an alarm system. We have a control panel which is actually the brains of the security system. You have the external peripheral devices that report back to the control panel including door window contacts, motion detectors, glass break detectors, and things of that nature. There can also be environmental centres like free sensors, water sensors, or heat sensors, but everything reports back to the main control panel. That is the brains of the alarm system.

Then, every alarm system also has an output or a communication system. This is what differentiates or really distinguishes the professional and do-it-yourself security systems. As long as the alarm system has a digital communicator, it can send a report to a central station. So a professional system that is installed in a home will report to a central station. Do-it-yourself security alarms that have digital communicators (they don't all have digital communicators) can report to a central station. Then, you are providing the same reporting format to that central station. That's the key element there.
