Enamel jewelry is tricky because you may not ask about the carat of the gold. You could have enamel on 14 carat gold or you can have it on gold plate, because it's just enamel. So, it won't hurt the gold at all and that's why I think people don't notice. They think it is gold, but it's not gold. It is basically gold plated material with enamel on it. Now, everything that we sell that has any type of enamel on it is strictly 14 carat plum gold and plum gold is basically the highest level that is legally allowed for 14 carat gold in any state in the United States. Gold has to at least be 10% pure to be legally called gold and a lot of people will put 10 carat gold on their pieces, but it won't be. If you really want to know, you have got to send them to a shop and have them tested because there is no other way. You can't bite it, you can't feel it, you can't weigh it, and you just have to get a professional to strategically melt it down or send it to one of those shops where they measure the gold.
