How do I care for facial skin?

To care for the skin of the face, wash with warm water and a mild cleanser, use sunscreens or sunblocks, and stop smoking and tanning.

Generally speaking, you should cleanse twice daily using warm water and a mild cleanser. By mild cleanser, I basically mean not soap. Soap is kind of harsh on the skin, so use a mild liquid cleanser and then use a sunblock. I would use at least a 30 broad-spectrum sun block all year, not just in the summertime, and I would also moisturize two times a day. Use an oil free acne make-up as well. Don't scrub your face. People think that by scrubbing they are going to... I don't know... look younger or get rid of acne or something. They won't. Don't scrub or pick, don't go tanning, and I wouldn't smoke. There are some issues that are more common in dark ethnic skin, but in general, the principles of skin care go across the board.
