What is FASFA?

The Federal Student Aid is an application that determines what a student is eligible for to attend college.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA is the only applicatioin required to apply for Federal Title IV Financial Aid which includes the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant, Federal Work Study, Federal Perkins Loan, William D. Ford Direct Loan Program and Federal Family Educaiton Loan Program. Many states also use the FAFSA for institutional supported aid programs. It is always important to check with the schools you hope to attend to determine if additional forms are required beyond the FAFSA.
