What is holistic skin care?

Holistic skin care means natural skin care products, made with natural ingredients.

Holistic skin care means natural skin care. These are people that will use natural or herbal preparations, and some of them are very good. But just because it's a natural product doesn't mean it's beneficial. Arsenic is a natural product; it's a poisonous natural product. So we see problems in patients that are taking herbal preparations, for instance St. John's Wort, which is commonly used for depression and for mood elevation, but will sensitize the skin to the sun. So a lot of products that are termed holistic just mean they take care of the entire skin with natural ingredients. Again, I think people should know exactly what they are using.
