What Is the Kosher Diet Delivery?

Most certified kosher diet delivery services are designed for people who want to lose weight while continuing to follow strict Jewish dietary laws. Customers who aren't interested in weight loss can enjoy these services as well, for the convenience factor of not having to do a lot of grocery shopping and food preparation. Options also are available for people to have kosher groceries delivered or full meals from kosher restaurants. These services have certifications posted on their websites.

Nationwide Kosher Service

The only nationwide kosher diet delivery as of 2009 is the Kosher Chefs Diet, a division of Chefs Diet, with weekly service of frozen food at about $23 a day. Fresh daily delivery is available in the New York and Los Angeles metropolitan regions at about $40 a day. Previously called ZoneChefs, the company's menu plans are based on Dr. Sears' Zone Diet, and Kosher Chefs Diet has a licensed clinical nutritionist on staff.

New York Kosher Service

Another company offering fresh daily service to the New York City area and most of New Jersey is Kosher Diet Delivery. This service focuses on weight loss plans including the Zone Diet, low calorie, low carbohydrates, and others. This service offers customized menus from nutritionists working individually with clients, to create a plan that is healthy while still only including foods and cooking styles which the customer likes. Kosher Diet Delivery costs about $40 a day for a month-long program.

Florida Kosher Service

Fresh kosher diet delivery is available in Florida also, where Kosher Fresh Diet delivers three gourmet meals and two snacks each day. Menus are created by a chef trained at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu culinary arts college, and the plan follows the Zone Diet. Personal consultants work with individual customers, and are available by phone 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. This service is priced at about $45 a day for a month-long program.

Convenience

Several companies and delicatessens deliver kosher food as a grocery service, many specific to the New York City area and a few available nationwide. People still must do food preparation and cooking, but can save time by not having to shop. Some kosher restaurants are happy to deliver in their local areas as well.

Considerations

When considering kosher diet delivery, do some research on the service outside of their own advertising and websites. Independent Internet reviews can tell you if the company has excellent food quality, accurate and prompt delivery, good customer service, and mistake-free invoicing.
