If you want to have a tan and you don't want to lay out in the sun, sweating your butt of for three hours, and going into a tanning salon and tanning in a tanning bed, I would definitely try a Mystic tan. The Mystic has changed the way America tans completely. All of a sudden our stores were getting people that we never ever, ever would have gotten into our doors ever, because of the Mystic. The Mystic is an amazing, amazing machine.

Q: Does somebody have to spray the Mystic tan on?

Mystic is all automated. As you get in the booth, there are a lot of different sprays and sun spreads. There are all kinds of different variations on what the mystic really is.

You stand on a plate that's magnetic. So the magneton technology basically allows for the most even absorption of the product onto your skin. With Mystic you stand there, and we put a cream on your hands and feet so that you don't get absorption of the Mystic solution there.

It's a process. Obviously, when clients come in, that's what we go through with them. We tell them what to do with their hands and feet. We tell them to put a hair cap on, and we show them how the process will take place by watching a video.

Q: How often do you have to redo the Mystic tan?

At least once a week.

Q: Do you have to go to a salon to get a Mystic tan?

Yes, for the Mystic you do. That's why I encourage people to use the products afterwards and take care of their skin. If you want the color to last as long as possible and get the most out of your tan, we definitely recommend using things to take care of your skin. That's why we were saying maintenance of your skin is huge with the Mystic, because you need to exfoliate your entire body.

Q: How much does the mystic tan cost?

A single session is 24 hours. You can expect to spend at least 25 bucks depending on where you live, a week. Some places charge more; some places charge 30 dollars. It just depends on what they are trying to do with prices. We recommend that people do packages rather than doing single sessions, because you are going to come back and do another one. Instead of paying 25 dollars for a single session, we try to encourage them to buy a package. It's a lot more cost efficient, and they are going to need the products too.

Q: What clothing should I take to get a Mystic tan?

Most people stand nude. I tan with a bikini. If you do wear anything in the Mystic booth it will get stained. If someone was going to go into the Mystic booth and wear something that they don't want stained, just don't wear anything, or don't wear anything you care about. Our booth is completely private
