How To Make Your Own Business Flyer Online

Business fliers are a handy promotional tool--they are often used to promote events, sales, upcoming specials or the opening of a new business. With access to the Internet, you can design and print your business flier in a short period of time. There is a wide range of services available for all budgets and tastes, and the process is easy to complete on short notice.

Step 1

Find a flier-design website. Sites like VistaPrint allow you to design your own flier, enter information and order prints, all in one process. This type of service allows you to choose a size, layout, colors, fonts and images, and walks you through the process of designing a flier. Other websites that offer similar services are PsPrint and Modern Postcard. (See Resources.)

Step 2

Choose your options. Begin with the size of the flier. Many websites will then allow you to browse through a variety of design templates to find one that fits your company and style. You will be able to upload your logo, enter in text and move objects to personalize your flier.

Step 3

Proofread the final version. Once you have navigated through the steps of creating your business flier, you will be given an option to preview the final product. Read through the text, paying particular attention to headlines. Once you submit the file for printing, it can be difficult to cancel the order if you find a typo or error. Check that the dates, website, and contact information are correct.

Step 4

Choose print options. When you are satisfied with the content, choose the quantity, type of paper and type of printing you would like for your fliers. When selecting these options, keep in mind how the fliers will be used. Will you include them in media packets? Will they be distributed outside, where rain could cause smudging of a full-color flier? Will customers be likely to throw them away, or keep them for future reference? It may not be worthwhile to print on expensive cardstock if you expect customers to dispose of the flier soon after they get it.

Step 5

Place your order. Many online print services will allow you to choose a shipping method that works for you; orders that must arrive quickly will be more expensive. Some services, like OfficeMax print online, will allow you to create your order online and pick up the printed fliers in the store.
