How do you take care of pearls?

Pearls are hard to take care of. Learn how to care for your natural pearls to make them last longer.

Pearls are actually hard to take care of. Pearls shine, and they get the best lustre the more you wear them. That doesn't mean wear your pearls everyday, because the silk strand is really loose or it's really thin and it wears down easily. But the natural oils in your body makes the pearls shine more. The more you wear them, the better they're going to look. But, if you don't have a warranty on your pearls, whenever you get them fixed, it's very easy for you to break pearl strands. Sometimes, if the strand is not efficient (if it is not individually knotted) you will lose a whole strand of pearls. Be aware of who you buy them from, how much they know about pearls, who is the maker, and whether it is certified. Pearls are sold mostly for weddings or for daughters or mothers. They are sold for special occasions and things like that so they aren't worn that often, which is great.
