What are the most popular Lenox gifts?

Bowls and Platters are popular Lenox gift items.

"When it comes to home decor and giftware, generally we look at it by categories and we find vases have always probably out-ranked bowls and platters two to one," says Timothy J. Carder, vice president of design at Lenox, Inc. in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.

There are natural fluctuations in item popularity, of course, but Carder reiterates that vases almost always come out on top. "They seem to be the most popular item, but we do create collections that have different serving items as well."

Among the many types of vases, the Classic Lenox, Set of 3 Carved Vases is currently the most coveted. The romantic design, compact size and versatility make this set, made from fine china, an easy option for many gift-giving occasions.

Also popular is the Love is Patient ivory fine china vase, which features messages about love and a floral design displayed in 24 karat gold. It serves as an excellent wedding or anniversary gift.

In the serveware category, the Butterfly Meadow Rice Bowl is an inexpensive customer favorite, featuring a garden design on Lenox white porcelain. It is dishwasher and microwave safe and makes a charming addition to casual settings. The Butler's Pantry Fruit Bowl is also popular, crafted of Italian earthware and versatile enough to pair with all tableware patterns.

Serving platters, which Mr. Carder referenced, are also in high demand. Currently the Opal Innocence 13" oval Platter is the leader among non-holiday options, offering a versatile design made from white bona china. The Poppies on Blue® Oval Platter is also popular, made from Lenox Chinastone®, which can transition from the freezer to the oven and then to the table seamlessly.

As for general gifts, those that offer personalization tend to be among the most requested. The Mother's Little Gems Pendant is a popular choice, allowing the purchaser to add gems representing the birthdays of the mother and her children to the delicate silver heart design. The Bride & Groom Ornament is also a customer favorite, allowing purchasers to add the couple's first names and wedding date to the piece.

Other bestselling gifts appropriate for weddings are the Set of 2 Jubilee, Flutes, made from fine crystal and accented with gem-cut crystals; the A Promise of Love Collector Plate, which is made from fine china and can be personalized with the couple's names and wedding date; and the Minnie's Dream Wedding figurine, which shows a hand painted Mickey and Minnie Mouse fashioned in wedding attire, making an adorable keepsake.

Housewarming presents are also popular at Lenox. Though options are available for every price range and style, certain favorites always emerge to become bestsellers. Recently, the Classic Lenox Votives have done well, perhaps due to their charming appearance featuring scalloped edges and floral design.

For those looking for a more elaborate housewarming gift, the Lenox Grape Weave 11-piece Punch Bowl & Cups Entertainment Set is sure to delight your favorite host or hostess with a bowl, punch cups, ladle and wine/champagne bottle holder all included.

Whatever the gift-giving occasion may be, Lenox has it covered.
