How do I care for skin during pregnancy?

Hormones during pregnancy cause changes in the skin, including stretch marks and acne, but it can be treated with the following skin care tips.

There are changes that develop in the skin during pregnancy. The hormones will produce some changes in the skin. Oftentimes, for instance, the acne will get a little worse in the early part of pregnancy and then it gets better in the later part of pregnancy. In most cases, I tell people to avoid excessive washing of the skin or to avoid using strong soaps and to try to keep the skin from getting too dried out. Constant dry skin is a real problem. The other thing I emphasize to women is that because of the stretching of the skin on the abdomen with a growing uterus, they sometimes will get stretch marks. I personally feel that if they keep the skin well moisturized during that time, then they have less of a tendency to get stretch marks.
