Prom hairstyles are leaning more towards the soft, sophisticated, and romantic looks.

A lot of stuff they we're doing has a nice soft romantic look to it. I am talking about wavy hair, tie backs, not puffy hairstyles or up-dos, but something very, very soft and more natural looking. I think a lot of people want to feel that they look like themselves, and they want to look special. It's a special occasion, but even the girls are much more sophisticated. They know how they want to look; softer and more romantic looking. I think the style is less severe now.
