Tips on permanent hair color

The key to using permanent color in your hair is mixing it up with semi-permanent color.

I will say the 60 percent of our clients use permanent hair color. I don't necessarily do the ends all the time. I have to use permanent color if hair is gray or we need to cover up the hair. Sometimes semi-permanent colors are not strong enough to give us the result that we are looking for. So most of the times what I do is I will do the permanent color on the roots, and then I will use a semi-permanent on the ends. I do this just to freshen it up, to give a little brightness, or to tone down the hair.

Some hair can't take the permanent color. It's so thin and so weak. I will say permanent color is really best as long as you know how to use all the colors. You cannot really mess up your hair, because when new hair grow in it is always stronger.
