How should I care for sensitive skin?

Some skin care products are not recommended for sensitive skin because they have ingredients that irritate sensitive skin.

People with sensitive skin must learn to read labels and they should be alerted to certain things that seem to irritate their skin. Things like salicylic acid or lactic acid or alcohol products may sting their skin. Some people are very sensitive to Lanoline products and should avoid it. If they find a cream that irritates their skin, they should read the label and try to avoid any products with the same ingredients. They should get a lotion or a make-up that they like and just stick with it.
