Benefits of stomach massage therapy

Stomach massage is shown to improve digestion and release tension.

It's good for digestion and it's also an area that holds a lot of tension. In the oriental medicine approach, there is a place they call the "Hara" and it has the relationship with many of the different organs and meridians and it also has a lot of emotional aspects to it. What we call the "gut feelings" has the most emotions in an aspect of relationship with some kind of sense of tightening or something going on in the tummy. So it's a really great area to work to loosen things up and not just loosen the muscles as to stimulate the flow of the energy throughout the body. And that's a simplification, but in a sense, that's what is going on. So it can really be nice for that.
