What is surround sound?

A surround sound system is a speaker set up that makes the audio seem to surround the person watching TV.

Surround sound is like the 5.1 system. It's where the person is standing in the front of the television and the sound of the speaker surrounds the person. You have the front left and right speakers and you have the rear left and right speaker. You also have the sub for the low end sound. That completes your whole surround sound system; it's the actual sound that surrounds the ears.
