When choosing a television stand or entertainment center, make sure it can support your television.

Some units come with their own stands that blend with the TV. They have a nice appearance. If you buy a television that comes with a stand, I recommend buying it. If you are looking at other television stands, you have to look at the specifics. You need to look at how much weight it can take. Sometimes people will buy a flimsy stand and then buy a huge television and wonder why the television collapsed on top of it. So that is one thing; if you are going to spend a few thousand dollars on a television, don't just buy a $20 stand.
